A family favorite is the CinnaYums recipe. I make the dough a week in advance, and freeze the formed and unrisen dough.
The night before Christmas, I take the rolls from the freezer and let them thaw overnight in the refrigerator. I also make the cream cheese topping for them, needed for the next day, and store it in the refrigerator.
On Christmas morning, I place a greased-side down piece of plastic wrap over the rolls and set them in Sarah's Microwave Bread Proofer, to speed up the process, while preheating the oven. (Make sure you set the cream cheese icing out of the fridge to warm and soften before using.) You only need to let the rolls rise slightly before baking to a golden brown. They will continue to rise quickly when placed in a hot oven.
Some years, I just do not have enough time to plan in advance. So, on Christmas morning, there’s nothing like making breakfast recipes on-the-fly. My husband especially loves these Darn Good Pancakes.
Some of our other favorite breakfast treats are my Blueberry Streusel Topped Muffins and the Healthy Oven Do It Your Own Way Muffins Recipes. If you have to eat gluten-free, as I do, my Gluten-Free Blueberry Muffins are a big hit; noone can tell the recipe doesn't include regular flour.
Happy Holidays to you and YOUR family!
